Meditations for Tweens.

Parenting in this age is very demanding. We tend to compromise and spoil our children, to make up for the time we feel we are loosing to spend with them.

We often do not even take the time to listen to them. It is to much effort to take them to the park. We do not show then love and affection, we do not play ball with them or chase them around the garden.

We force them in the claws of technology, and are often unaware of the contents of their games or the programs they watch. Silently we are developing a new generation. A generation that cannot communicate or show affection - a lost generation, that do not care for anybody but themselves.

Nobody is to blame, as this is our society today.

We as parents have to make time for our children. We need to prepare them for the outside world. Guide them from day to day. Listen to what they are telling us. Play in the park with them, it will de-stress you and they will de-stress to.

Set a routine with them and do not break it. If you spend time with them, they will be happier children and in case of bullying, depression, peer pressure - they will be able to speak to you - and you will be able to assist with the problem before it gets out of hand. They will feel that you are there for them.

In life it is important to live balanced. So what are our needs to live a balanced life?
